Prince Philip of England died today

Prince Philip died early today.

Prince Philip’s other title is The Duke of Edinburg. He died at the age of ninety-nine-years-old.

Buckingham Palace reported on Prince Philip’s death early this morning. Buckingham Palace said, “It is with deep sorrow that Her Majesty The Queen announces the death of her beloved husband, His Royal Highness The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh.

His Royal Highness passed away peacefully this morning at Windsor Castle. People around the world mourn his loss.”

Prince Philip and Queen Elizabeth were married for seventy-three years together in total. Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip celebrated the two’s seventy-third wedding anniversary together on November 2020.

The Royal Family celebrated together at Prince Philip’s ninety-ninth birthday party at Windsor Castle in June. He was only months from his one-hundredth birthday. His one-hundredth birthday would have taken place this summer.

Prince Philip’s health has declined for a number of years. He told the people of Great Britain that it was time to step down from his royal duties on May 2017. He made one last public appearance that year at a Royal Marines parade that was held at Buckingham Palace.

Earlier this year Prince Philip went to the hospital for an ear infection. Later on he underwent heart surgery for a pre-existing condition. He remained at the hospital for one month. That was his longest stay at the hospital.

After his stay at the hospital Prince Philip moved into Windsor Castle to be with Queen Elizabeth.

Prince Philip rarely went out in public since that time. He lived on the Royal Family’s Sandringham estate that is located in Norfolk, England.

It is assumed that the COVID-19 pandemic will impact Prince Philip’s planned funeral. The public farewell to Prince Philip can not go on as normal because of the gathering restrictions that were implemented throughout Great Britain due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Rest in Peace, Prince Philip. You will be remembered. You will be missed.

Always and forever,
