She was defeated by Nina Derwael of Belgium who received a gold medal. Derwael was viewed as Sunisa’s close rival at the uneven bars event final. Derwael’s score for the uneven bars apparatus is 15.200 in the uneven bars event final.
Anastasia Ilyankova received the silver medal at the uneven bars event final. Ilyankova score is 14.833. She is from the country of Russia.
Things looked better for the U.S.A. on the vault event final. MyKayla Skinner won the silver medal at this event final. MyKayla Skinner’s score in the vault event final is as 14.916. MyKayla Skinner replaced Simone Biles at this event because of Bile’s departure from the Olympics. Biles was said to have faced mental health issues that hindered her from competing at these Olympics.
Rebecca Andrade won the gold medal at the vault event final. Andrade is from the country of Brazil. Her win made history. Andrade won the first Brazilian gold medal in gymnastics at this event. She received 15.083 at the vault event final.
Yeo Seo-jeong received the bronze medal at the vault event final. Yeo Seo-jeong is from the country of South Korea. Yeo Seo-jeong’s score for the vault event final is 14.733.
