Shawn Mendes releases a ballad about the singer Camila Cabello after the two’s break-up

The singer named Shawn Mende, 23, released a new single last Wednesday. The single is named “It’ll Be Okay.” The song is about his failed relationship with another singer named Camila Cabello, 24.

Mendes and Cabello broke-up around two weeks before the single, “It’ll Be Okay,” was released to the world.

Mendes sings in his song: “If you tell me you’re leaving / I’ll make it easy / It’ll be okay / If we can’t stop the bleeding / We don’t have to fix it / We don’t have to stay / I will love you either way.”

Mendes and Cabello were friends for years before the two became an item in July 2019.

This is what Mendes wrote on his social media account named Instagram: “Hey guys, we’ve decided to end our romantic relationship but our love for one another as humans is stronger than ever ❤️. We started our relationship as best friends and will continue to be best friends.”

This is what an unnamed source had to say about the two’s relationship: “[Mendes and Cabello] had this intense relationship last year. They spent months together when there was a lockdown in Miami because of COVID-19. The two both seemed very happy. The two enjoyed having a break from their work schedules and spent a great deal of time together.

Things are different now. It is back to normal life. Mendes and Cabello have careers that are leading them to two different directions. The two went from spending every day together to barely seeing each other. The change was drastic but it was the beginning of the two’s decision to break-up.”

It is sad to hear about the two singers’ break-up. However, Mendes was able to release a beautiful song out of the pain he felt because of his break-up with Cabello. You can check-out Mendes’ beautiful but melancholy song above.

Always and forever,
Summer Parker

  1. I liked Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello together as a couple. I’m sad to hear that they have now broke-up. But it is great that the two can remain as friends.
